It has been said, “The purpose of art is to lay bare the questions that have been buried by the answers.” . . . In this exhibition, LIES, the students seem to have pulled out all of the stops. Norms give way to surprises, often baiting us with wit, mischeif and humor — expanding our horizons along with their own.

“Inspired by avian internal organs, Giblet Pillows both seduce with their luxurious velvet and playful graphic forms, and repel through their implication of the butcher’s block or the user’s own fleshy construction.”
I think this was my favorite image. It feels like a play off of The Scream, but more haunting because of its ambiguity.
